Hit & Run Leaves Pedestrian Seriously Injured – 1/21/15

The Mansfield Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Route 206 southbound at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21st in the area of the Imperial Inn.

A motorist contacted police after seeing the pedestrian walking along the highway during the snowstorm. The motorist then observed a vehicle in the rear view mirror swerve upon passing the area where the pedestrian had been seen walking.

The injured person was described as a 69-year-old man. He was taken to a Trenton hospital and is listed in critical condition. His name is being withheld because his family has not yet been notified about the collision.
