Police Blotter – 9/8/14

Police performed a pedestrian stop on Route 206 on Saturday, August 30th at 9:26 p.m. for a violation.  During the stop a check returned that Aleea A. Grant, 22 years old of Bordentown, was wanted on a traffic warrant. Grant was taken into custody for processing and later released pending a court appearance.

On Monday, September 1st at 12:24 p.m., police encountered Eric Robinson, 30 years old of Trenton, on Route 130. During the contact with Robinson, the officer determined he was wanted on a criminal warrant.  Robinson was taken into custody and transported to headquarters for processing. Robinson was committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of bail.

On Wednesday, September 3rd, Alen Vodik, years old of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested in connection with a vehicle burglary that occurred on July 24th at the Manheim Auto Auction, located at 730 Route 68. Police investigated the vehicle burglary that involved the theft of an E-Z Pass transponder. The investigation found evidence that Vodnik committed the crime. Vodnik was charged with Burglary, Theft, and False Police Reports to Law Enforcement with bail set at $25,000. After processing, Vodnik was permitted to post 10% of the full bail to secure his release until court.

Police conducted an investigative motor vehicle stop on Thursday, September 4th at 12:04 p.m. on Mansfield Road East, after a random check indicated the owner’s driver’s license was suspended and there were outstanding warrants for his arrest. During the stop, police confirmed the driver, Devin L. Terry, 19 years old of Columbus, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Terry was then taken into custody and transported to headquarters for processing. Terry was later released on a motor vehicle summons after posting bail on the warrants.

On Sunday, September 7th at 10:07 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Route 68 for a non-moving violation.  During the stop, police determined that the driver, Gino F. Cannella, 32 years old of Perth Amboy, had a suspended driver’s license and was wanted on an active warrant. Cannella was taken into custody and transported to headquarters for processing. Cannella received motor vehicle summonses and was later released pending a new court date.

While participating in the Operation Route 130 Aggressive Driving Initiative, police stopped a vehicle on Monday, September 8th at 12:19 p.m., for a non-moving violation.  During the stop on Route 130, a check revealed that the driver, Lorenzo Ricks, Jr., 25 years old of Willingboro, had an active warrant issued for his arrest. Ricks, Jr. was then taken into custody and transported to headquarters for processing. Ricks, Jr. was issued a summons for the motor vehicle violation before being released after posting bail.
