The Mansfield Township Police Department uses various means to keep the community informed. In addition to this site, we use other platforms, including social media to connect with our residents and other stakeholders.
These services are even more critical if you don’t have traditional wired phone service because the list provided by Verizon for reverse 9-1-1 calls doesn’t include residents that rely on cellular phones or Voice Over IP (VoIP) services. During past storms, when traditional communications were interrupted, we leveraged social media to continue updating the community of important developments affecting the Township.

Nixle is a communication system that connects residents with the agencies that serve and protect them. Residents can use Nixle to receive information ranging from critical alerts to community news. Additionally, residents can choose how they receive this information – by SMS (text message), email, over the Web or by mobile application.
