On January 20th at approximately 9:20 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence on Vandevere Lane for a past tense burglary. Investigation on scene revealed that the suspect(s) forced entry into the residence through a rear window. The suspect(s) caused damage to the home as a result of the forced entry, and it was later discovered that a substantial amount of jewelry was removed from one of the bedrooms.
A second burglary was discovered on January 25th at 10:28 a.m. when police were dispatched to the area of Vandevere Lane for an audible alarm. Upon checking the area, officers determined that the alarm was coming from a residence on Vandevere Lane. Investigation revealed that the home in question was broken into through a rear bedroom window sometime between December 29, 2013 and January 25th. An account of the property stolen from the residence has not been provided by the homeowner yet.
As a result of these incidents, residents are reminded to secure their homes and activate any security systems that may be in place.
