Bank Robbery – 12/27/13

On Friday, 12/27/13 at approximately 5:45 p.m., police were dispatched to the Roma Bank in the Homestead Plaza II on Columbus Road for a hold-up alarm. While officers were responding to the location, it was determined that a bank robbery had just occurred. The suspect entered the bank displaying a handgun at the tellers and demanded money. The suspect was described as a male with olive skin, possibly Hispanic, 5’04”-5’07” tall, 140-170 lbs, dressed in all black, wearing a hooded sweatshirt or jacket, ski mask and gloves. The weapon used was described as a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect left the bank and fled in a vehicle that was last seen heading east on Columbus Road, toward Route 206. The suspect vehicle was described as a sedan, green in color, possibly a Toyota Corolla. Anyone who may have additional information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Mansfield Township Police Department via the dispatch center at 609-723-8300.
