On Friday, August 16th at approximately 2:38 p.m., police were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at Route 206 and Mansfield Road East. Investigation revealed that one of the involved drivers, Anthony D. Costello, 61 years old of Bordentown, had consumed some amount of alcoholic beverages prior to driving. After he failed to complete a series of standardized field sobriety tests, Costello was placed under arrest. At police headquarters, Costello was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing, and other related offenses. After processing, Costello was released to a family member. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
