Man Arrested For Theft While Working In Victim’s Home – 3/30/14

On Sunday, March 30th at approximately 1:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the Homestead development for a reported theft of jewelry. The homeowner reported that several pieces of jewelry were missing from her residence. Subsequent investigation revealed that Eric L. Yelowitz, 27 years old of Marlton, stole the items in question from the victim’s residence on March 29th. At the time of the theft Yelowitz was lawfully permitted in the residence to perform work on behalf of Comcast.

On April 3, 2014, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Yelowitz was taken into custody at police headquarters and charged with the above mentioned theft from the residence. At the completion of processing, Yelowitz was released after posting bail. Special thanks to the members of the Mount Laurel Township Police Department who assisted in this investigation.
