On August 25th, at approximately 12:05 a.m., police conducted a motor vehicle stop for speeding on Route 206 near Atlantic Ave. The vehicle, a 2006 Harley Davidson, was being operated by Richard Nodes, 47 years old of East Brunswick. Investigation revealed that Nodes had consumed some amount of alcoholic beverages prior to operating his motorcycle. After failing a series of standardized field sobriety tests, Nodes was arrested for DWI. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and charged with Speeding, DWI, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended, Unregistered Vehicle, Uninsured Vehicle, and having a Fictitious License Plate. After being processed, Nodes was released to a third party.
