Police Blotter – 2/2/14

On Thursday, January 16th at 12:35 a.m., police were dispatched to the Pine Motel on Rt. 130 for a report of a suspicious male on the property.  Upon arrival, police located the subject and identified him as David Blackeney, 22 years old of Trenton.  During the encounter, the officer determined that Blackeney was wanted out of Maryland for a violation of probation.  Blackeney was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing.  Blackeney was charged with being a fugitive from justice and lodged at the Burlington County Jail awaiting extradition to Maryland.

On Friday, January 17th at 10:44 a.m., police arrived at the Riverfront Motel to serve Sidney Griffin, 54 years old of Bordentown Township, with two criminal warrants.  Griffin located and taken into custody before being transported to the police station for processing. Griffin was later turned over to the Burlington City Police Department to answer the warrants.

On Monday, January 20th at 12:31a.m., police were dispatched to County Route 545 for a report of a motor vehicle crash.  Investigation on scene revealed that the driver, Bulynda Wall, 51 years old of Wrightstown, was intoxicated and subsequently taken into custody.  Wall was transported to the police department for processing and issued several motor vehicle summonses prior to being released pending a court appearance at the Mansfield Township Municipal Court.

Police stopped a vehicle on Thursday, January 23rd at 4:25 p.m., after a random check revealed that the vehicle’s registered owner had two outstanding traffic warrants.  During the motor vehicle stop it was confirmed that the owner, Jasmine Sanchez, 19 years old of Lumberton, was wanted on outstanding traffic warrants from Pemberton Boro and Westampton.  Also a passenger of the vehicle, identified as Robert Davis, 21 years old of Browns Mills, was wanted on a criminal warrant issued by Burlington Township.  Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the police station for processing.  After processing and being served with a summons, Sanchez was released pending a court appearance.  Davis was able to post bail and released pending a court appearance.

On Tuesday, January 28th at approximately 11:00 a.m., police observed Tyron Johnson-Bascom, 27 years old of Columbus, operating a motor vehicle on State Highway 68.  The officer had knowledge that Johnson-Bascom’s driver’s license was suspended and that there were two traffic warrants issued for his arrest.  The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop and took Johnson-Bascom into custody.  He was transported to police headquarters where was processed and issued a motor vehicle summons before being released on bail with a new court date.

On Sunday, February 2nd at 9:45 a.m., police observed Jason Ledford, 29 years old of Bordentown, walking on Rt. 130.  During the stop, the officer determined that Ledford was wanted on a criminal warrant issued by the Pennsauken Municipal Court.  Ledford was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing.  Ledford was later released pending a court appearance.
