Support Your Local Police: Recycle Unwanted Clothing With Us

The Mansfield Township Police Department is proud to announce the placement of clothing donation boxes throughout the township. These donation bins are branded with our department logo and the message Support Your Local Police because our agency receives funding for hosting the bins. The vendor recycles recovered clothing in three ways; some of the clothes are sorted and donated to the needy or higher quality clothing is sold in bulk to organizations that sell to those who cannot afford to buy new clothing. Clothing that is unusable is washed and sold for industrial use and any leftover clothing is used in the auto industry as seat stuffing for large trucks.

The bins have been placed at various locations throughout the township for ease of access by the community. The next time you clean out your closet, please consider donating any clothing and shoes to one of our bins.

You can find them at the following locations:

  • Parking area of the Country Walk Park off of Fieldcrest Drive
  • Township parking lot behind the police station (near the Public Works yard) off of East Main Street and Atlantic Avenue
  • Civic Club on Route 206 North near Hedding Road
  • Parking area of the Hedding Park
  • Parking area of Georgetown Park in the Mapleton development

Thanks for your support!
