Police are investigating a two burglaries that occurred during the past week.
– The first incident took place on Monday, July 1st between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.at a home on Gaunts Bridge Road. Forced entry was made through a rear door of the residence and several items were stolen.
– The second burglary was committed on Friday, July 5th between 10:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. at a Mount Pleasant Road residence. In this case, the suspect(s) forced entry through a sliding glass door in the rear of the house and stole multiple pieces of jewelry.
As a result of this incident, and other similar incidents that have occurred recently in the area, residents are reminded to secure their homes and activate any security systems that may be in place when leaving.
